Strengthening Unity, Institutional Development, and Grassroots Engagement Across the Movement
The Anwar-Ul Islam Movement of Nigeria (AIMN), under the leadership of its National President, Alhaji Lateef Adisa Lawal, embarked on its 2026 Presidential Tour of Missions in Lagos State, a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening institutional relationships, promoting unity, and enhancing grassroots participation in the activities and development of the Movement.
The Presidential Tour, which commenced on Friday, 26th June 2026, was designed to provide an opportunity for the National President to engage directly with Mission executives, religious leaders, members, and other stakeholders across the various Missions in Lagos State.
Promoting Unity and Institutional Growth
The initiative reflects the National Leadership's commitment to fostering a more united, responsive, and progressive Movement, guided by its longstanding principles of Islamic service, education, community development, and humanitarian engagement.
The tour was structured around key objectives, including:
1. Strengthening Unity and Brotherhood: Promoting closer relationships and cooperation among Missions and the National Leadership.
2. Communicating the National Vision: Presenting the strategic priorities and development agenda of the Movement to members at the grassroots.
3. Stakeholder Engagement: Providing opportunities for meaningful interaction with Mission executives, religious leaders, members, and other stakeholders.

6. Sustainable Growth: Promoting collaboration and collective responsibility towards the long-term advancement of the Movement.
Presidential Tour Across Lagos State
The scheduled tour covered 14 Missions across Lagos State, beginning with Lagos Mission on 26th June 2026 and concluding with Bariga Mission on 16th August 2026.
The Missions included Lagos, Mainland, Itire, Ikorodu, Mushin, Igbogbo, Agbowa, Epe, Ijede, Agege, Women’s League, Morogbo, Iju, and Bariga.
The programme featured visits scheduled primarily on Fridays before Jumu'ah prayers, while selected Missions were scheduled for Sunday engagements.
These visits were intended to create an interactive platform through which the National President could obtain firsthand insights into the operations and developmental needs of the Missions, while reinforcing the importance of collective participation in achieving the Movement's objectives.
Advancing the Vision of One Movement
Central to the Presidential Tour was the guiding philosophy:
"One Movement. One Vision: Strengthening Unity, Da'wah and Institutional Excellence."
This philosophy underscores the commitment of the National Leadership to building a stronger and more coordinated institution where every Mission contributes meaningfully to the spiritual, educational, social, and developmental advancement of the Movement.
The tour also reinforced the Movement's core values of Unity, Knowledge, Service, Da'wah, and Humanity, which remain fundamental to its mission of serving Allah and humanity.
A Renewed Commitment to Service and Development
The Presidential Tour represents an important component of the National Leadership's broader efforts to strengthen governance, improve communication between the National Headquarters and Missions, encourage membership participation, and promote sustainable institutional development.
Through this initiative, the Movement seeks to consolidate its longstanding legacy of Islamic propagation, educational advancement, community service, and nation-building.
The Anwar-Ul Islam Movement of Nigeria remains committed to fostering an institution built on faith, unity, accountability, and collective progress.
Together, We Continue the Mission of Faith, Progress, and Nation-Building.
In Service to Allah and Humanity.
